Santa Barbara Activities & Contacts |
Santa Barbara, CASanta Barbara, California, is joining the rapidly growing number of US cities who are not willing to wait any longer to create mutual beneficial relationships with the people of Cuba. They are reaching out; as individuals hoping for a group project, which could become the foundation of a sister city relationship. They will be looking for twinning opportunities with people in the Santiago region. If you have any interest, talents, to help get this going please contact: Lupe Corona at (805) 886-2535 Her email is lcorona5@antioch.sbceo.k12.ca.us Lupe says "There are a number of great individuals helping develop a strong group and committee; but we are still small and would appreciate suggestions or help from anyone who might advise us or would like to be part of forming this important initiative." Santa Barbara is the Santo name for Chango, the Yoruba orisha of lightning and drumming -- an early king who became an orisha. |
